Richard represents the third generation of the family that founded ReAgent back in 1977; he has been a Director at ReAgent since 2006 and took over the role of Managing Director from his father in 2010. With a background in marketing and status as a Chartered Marketer, Richard dedicates himself to growing the company in collaboration with the senior management team and staff for the benefit of both our customers and employees alike. Prior to working at ReAgent, Steve served with the Royal Air Force, including 3 years where he was stationed at the RAF Gütersloh military airfield in Germany. During his time in the RAF Steve worked with transport aircraft and helicopters. He joined ReAgent in 1979, as one of the first employees, initially working in Production. Steve became increasingly involved with running the business, becoming a Director in 1984, then Managing Director in 1989. Steve performed the role of MD for the next 20 years, growing the business through close working relationships with customers, many of which continue to this day. At the end of 2009 he passed the title of Managing Director onto his son, Richard, though he continues in the role of Director attending Board Meetings, Finance Meetings and Staff Meetings.
Barbara has a background in Journalism and worked as an administrator prior to joining ReAgent. She joined ReAgent on a permanent basis in 1987 and became Director in 1989. Barbara is very passionate about the wellbeing of staff at ReAgent and has spearheaded a number of measures in the business relating to employee welfare. This included achieving our first Investor In People accreditation in 2006, something that we have held ever since. Barbara plays an active role in running the company at a strategic level and is frequently present for meetings to discuss expansion, investment and recruitment.
Darren joined ReAgent in 1989 and worked on our factory floor up until 2000 when his role changed to Technical Manager. With the support of ReAgent Darren has since gained a raft of scientific and technical qualifications, become a Member of The Royal Society of Chemistry as well as being accredited with a Professional Diploma in Manufacturing from The Manufacturing Institute. In his capacity as Operations Director Darren drove the continuous improvement and operational efficiency of all areas of our business as well as strategic planning, purchasing strategy, supply chain management, new product implementation and technical problem solving. Recently Darren has taken on a change of role to work as Sales Director for ReAgent. This role was identified as a result of in-house strategic planning. The new role will encompass the implementation of strategic changes in the sales department to enable achievement of the companies growth plans. With a background in LEAN manufacturing, management and engineering, Simon joined us in 2011 from The Manufacturing Advisory Service North West. Responsible not only for the day to day business management, Simon coordinates improvement projects, HR, staff training, whilst working with the Managing Director and Sales Director to deploy and develop business plans as well as company strategy, general policy deployment and planning. Gary joined the sales team here at ReAgent in 2015 as Technical Sales Representative. He started his career in the chemical industry 35 years ago, working within the quality laboratories at Joseph Crosfield & Sons in Warrington, and remained within the Unilever organisation for 30 years. During this time Gary worked across a multitude of functions, including product development, technical service, sales and marketing and business development predominantly in the Industrial detergent and hygiene businesses. Steve has a background in Management Information Reporting and IT Systems and has been with ReAgent since 2009. As IT Manager, Steve is responsible for the management, maintenance and continual improvement of our IT infrastructure. Steve plays a key role in the operational side of our business; helping to ensure all departments work as efficiently as possible by replacing manual tasks with automated solutions that save time and enhance data integrity. By enabling departments to access relevant, up to date KPI data, Steve makes a tangible contribution to ensuring that we both meet and exceed the needs of our customers. Graham joined ReAgent as a trainee laboratory technician in 1983. After graduating from The Royal Society of Chemistry he progressed to become a Chartered Chemist MRSC CChem whilst simultaneously developing his career at ReAgent. As Systems Manager, Graham’s extensive technical expertise, industry knowledge and considerable experience make him ideally placed to implement and manage our quality, environmental and health and safety systems. As well as compiling MSDS in accordance with REACH and ensuring ReAgent keeps abreast of current legislation Graham is also responsible for maintaining our Investor In People Award.
After working within the creative industry for over 15 years, Darren joined ReAgent as marketing manager. Darren is now responsible for overseeing all online and offline marketing activities ReAgent undertakes, as well as maintaining over all 30 of our websites. Darren has recently worked with companies such as Sony and Liverpool Culture Arts. Along with this, Darren has also been heavily involved with with freelance website development and business branding in the past, enhancing his networking capabilities and making him the ideal person to approach for advice on marketing any business.
