ReAgent is a manufacturer and supplier of Acetic Acid in both pure forms (referred to as Glacial Acetic Acid, containing no water) or in dilute solutions. We are a leading supplier of Acetic Acid in quantities ranging from small packs up to 1000L Intermediate Bulk Containers, also commonly referred to as IBC's.
We supply a number of different grades of Acetic Acid including LRG (Laboratory Grade) which is suitable for the majority of applications and AR (Analytical Reagent Grade) which is usually used in laboratories and is suitable for analytical purposes. We are also pleased to offer technical grades of Acetic Acid to our customers who can buy online, by phone, by fax or by post. As one of the UK leading suppliers of Acetic Acid, we are pleased to offer chemical blends of Acetic Acid CH3COOH, such as Acetic Acid and Chloroform, which is routinely used for oil testing.
Acetic Aid is classified as a Corrosive substance and should be handled with care. Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before handling CH3COOH. Acetic Acid emits a pungent odour which smells like vinegar. Indeed, vinegar is actually a dilute form of Acetic Acid, at about one twentieth of the strength of the pure solution. However, we would ask you to note that none of our products is suitable for human consumption unless described as such.
As a leading UK supplier and manufacturer, we are ideally placed to handle all your Acetic Acid enquiries, in addition to enquiries for other reagents. Many of our customers now prefer to buy online although our friendly and professional Sales Team is always on hand to help you with any Acetic Acid queries that you may have or for technical advice and support.
Acetic Acid has a relatively high freezing point of 16.7 Degrees Celsius and this should be borne in mind when storing the material. At ReAgent, we keep our Acetic Acid CH3COOH stored inside warm cupboards to prevent the material from freezing. If allowed to freeze, Acetic Acid will contract and this can cause damage to the packaging materials used. This can present a potential hazard when the product thaws again. Acetic Acid should always be stored inside in the UK to prevent the potential hazard of freezing.
