ReAgent manufactures and supplies a wide range of hydrochloric acid, from very dilute solutions to concentrated forms. Hydrochloric acid is also known as HCL and sometimes misspelled as hidrochloric acid, hydrocloric acid and hidrocloric acid, although these are all referring to the same material.  Hydrochloric Acid is also known as muratic acid, chlorohydric acid, marine acid and spirit of salt.

When stored at room temperature, dilute hydrochloric acid is colourless, whilst more concentrate solutions are light yellow. Due to its strong acidity, common uses for this product include dissolving metals and adjusting pH values. Hydrochloric acid is created by dissolving hydrogen chloride gas in water. It is a by-product of chlorine manufacture, along with sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide. When mixed with nitric acid, aqua regia is formed, which is capable of dissolving platinum and gold. ReAgent can also supply sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, nitric acid and pre-mixed aqua regia.

As with all acids, including HCl, it is essential to handle hydrochloric acid in a safe manner, with all relevant PPE specified in the Material Safety Data Sheet. This is of particular importance when handling concentrated hydrochloric acid which can be highly corrosive and produce dangerous fumes – local fume extraction is essential. In a mild concentration hydrochloric acid can still be irritant and must only ever be handled by suitably qualified persons.
