Synonyms of Deionized Water include DI Water, De-ionized Water, Di ionised Water, Di ionized Water, De-ionised Water, Deionized Water, De-ionized Water, Demineralized Water and Purified Water. You can also Buy Distilled Water from ReAgent.
As a leading UK supplier, ReAgent can supply numerous grades of deionized water. To ensure quality, samples of our water are sent for third-party microbiology testing on a weekly basis, whilst regular chemical testing is carried out in-house prior to the water being demineralised. All of our deionized water is supplied in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard to which we are proud to be accredited.
Many of our customers now prefer the conveience of being able to buy deionized water online and we supply a wide range of customers both in the UK and abroad. The flexible manufacturing facilities at ReAgent enable us to provide our customers with not only deionized water, but a whole range of other chemicals, blends and mixes including concentrated acids, buffers, specialist buffers, water treatment chemicals, reagents and analytical standard solutions.
We use the following method to produce our pure deionized water. Mains water enters our building and the first phase of the water purification process is an Organic Trap, where a special resin removes most of the organic matter. Next, the water passes through a Twin-Bed Deionizer, where one Anionic tank removes the Cat Ions whilst the other Cationic Tank removes the An Ions. By now, the maximum level of impurities in the water is 10 µ per cm, already much lower than traditional Distilled water: it is typically much lower – around 1µ per cm. At this point, the water is can be called de-ionised.
To further reduce impurities, the water is then passed through a Mixed Bed Resin, where impurities are reduced to > 0.05 µ per cm. The deionized water is given Ultra Violet Treatment, during which phase the water is passed through a strong UV Light to kill any remaining micro-organisms. Finally, the water moves through a 0.2 micron filter. After the final stage, the water is "Ultra Pure Water".
At ReAgent, we do not use any untreated water for any of our products, or to put it another way, Deionized Water is the lowest quality water which we will use. We use Ultra Pure water for many of the chemical solutions and chemical reagents that we manufacture, including pharmaceutical grade products. Please note, we do not recommend the use of treated water for human consumption; as it is demineralized, this means that the trace elements and minerals have been removed. A tiny amount of mineral elements can be beneficial for human consumption. Also, deionized water is often described as 'having no taste'.
As a well regarded supplier of deionized water, with a proven track record of over 30 years, we are ideally placed to handle all your deionized water enquiries, be they online, by phone, by fax or by post. Our customers come from a wide range of industry segments including pharmaceuticals, automotive, chemical, manufacturing, food and power stations.
