The chemical formulation of Sodium Hydroxide is NaOH and it is a strong alkaline, frequently used as a neutraliser for purposes like treatment of waste water. In such mixtures, EDTA might be used for removing metallic impurities whilst Sodium Hydroxide might be present to dissolve fats.
