Although this is not a definitive list of what we can provide, some of the most popular Chemical Indicators we supply include:

Chemical Indicators are used to indicate the existence, or non-existence, of a substance in a solution. A visible change in colour when a solution reaches a particular pH range is a common indication. Phenolphthalein is a widely used example of one of the most common Chemical Indicators. When added to an aqueous solution, it will remain colourless until the pH falls into a range from pH 8.3 to pH 10, when it turns pink in colour. Examples of where this test is used include the production of biodiesel and milk.

In many cases, only a very small amount of the Chemical Indicator is required. Taking the example of Phenolphthalein again, a solution of 1% or 2% is well strong enough. Using a dilute solution increases accuracy, not to mention improves safety as dilute solutions are less hazardous.
