Potassium Chloride - (KCL)

Potassium Chloride is also well known as KCl, Potassium Muriate and Potassium Monochloride. ReAgent supplies a number of different grades, for example:

Potassium Chloride is a salt supplied by ReAgent in crystal form. It has similar qualities to regular salt, sodium chloride, and is sometimes used as a substitute. For analytical purposes, its uses include the production of conductivity standards, buffer solutions and solutions for running and calibrating online process instruments. Other applications for Potassium Chloride include gritting/salting roads (in some countries, although in the UK Sodium Chloride is used) and in fertilizer, as potassium levels can be adjusted the control plant growth. When used for agricultural purposes, KCL can also be referred to as Muriate of Potash.

For analytical purposes high grade materials are required, whilst for applications such as gritting roads a very low technical grade of KCL would suffice. ReAgent is able to supply a range of grades in pack starting at 500g.
