At room temperature, organic solvents tend to be colourless liquid solutions. They have relatively low boiling points, most have a pungent smell to them and they are susceptible to evaporation. Because of their hazardous nature, it is important to carefully consult the relevant Material Safety Data Sheets before handling or storing organic solvents.

The vast majority of the organic solvents we supply are to companies which require them for applications like chemical syntheses, analytical purposes and cleaning. Solvents are also commonplace in the everyday household, such as acetone-based nail varnish removers and toluene for thinning paint, but please be aware there is legislation preventing us supplying the general public with certain chemicals. With the surge businesses going into production of biodiesel we have noticed a considerable increase in the amount of methanol we supply.
