Toluene is a clear liquid solvent and will be found in most laboratories. It has a multitude of purposes, one of which is cleaning surfaces. The printing industry uses toluene for cleaning rollers in between print runs. It can also be used for analytical and testing purposes and is found in products like ASTM standards and IP reagents, which ReAgent also manufactures. We supply these chemicals to companies in the oil testing industry. Toluene also can be found in other solvent solutions including titration solvents and mixed solvent solutions.
Toluene is flammable and emits fumes, as many solvents do. Care should be taken when handling Toluene – please consult the Material Safety Data Sheet prior to use and use in a well ventilated area, ideally with local fume extraction.
