Officially created in 1996 with origins dating back to the early 1800s, Forged Solutions supply a customer base spanning more than 40 countries and a diverse range of markets from power generation to mining and quarrying explorations. Business Objectives
A company of this level has many different objectives, but one objective was to reduce costs and improve lead times for existing formulations for a number of specialist acid blends via chemical blending. Quality, cost, and delivery were all important considerations, as was improving safety.

We took the time to get to know what they needed, and how much was required. That way, it was clear to define production needs and costs transparently, making it easier to see where they could save money with ongoing production. With this all analysed, we presented a plan of action.
Once Forged Solutions were happy with our plans, we took existing formulations for multiple acid blends and supplied new products in 1000 litre IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers or Totes).
We now supply three specialist inorganic blends on a regular basis and have further blends already developed and ready for when they need them, prepared for expansion plans to come.

The Results
Thanks to ReAgent, Forged Solutions was able to reduce costs and improve lead times as well as receive an ongoing supply of blends, which are available as and when they are required. This means less delays between shipments and production, and more happy customers.
Another element that has been improved is safety standards. This is as we now blend chemicals on ReAgent’s site, making that their own operators can run at a lighter capacity. In turn, this means that all procedures for the products we create follow our stringent safety requirements and considerations.
