Oxford Medical Products has developed Sirona, a gastro-tentative hydrogel platform technology that is currently in human clinical trials as a weight loss treatment and has a potential application to drug and nutraceutical delivery and biosensors.
We spoke to Joanna Jablonska, Oxford Medical’s Manufacturing Manager, who explains how ReAgent’s high quality products, innovative solutions, and excellent customer service have supported OMP from initial testing through to industrial scale production.
Oxford Medical Products’ needs and challenges
Oxford Medical started trialling their new technology on a small scale, requiring only limited amounts of simulated gastric fluid to test the efficacy of their innovative product.
As trials succeeded, they needed a supplier who was able to support them through the development phase and continue to support them through scaling up their contract manufacturing requirements and beyond.
