At ReAgent, one of our most important resources is water. Our deionisation plant, alongside our reverse osmosis (RO) units and our specialised distiller, feed our processes and product lines with high-quality, high-purity water as a base for many of our blends.

How do we produce so much pure water?

To ensure consistent supply to our customers of this treated water, we need good supply in turn. Our upgraded incoming water main can give us in excess of 10,000L per hour on average – more than enough to keep our plant running smoothly and satisfy production demand.

Upgrading our water facilities

Recently, we identified a slight risk to our water supply. This risk came from the size of our holding tank of raw mains water which is used to feed all of our water treatment functions.

At only 4,000L, our buffer tank of raw water meant we may not have been able to cover the unlikely event of temporary mains water switch-off, or a reduction in supply.

Therefore, we decided to increase the size of our raw water buffer tank so we could hold more water, reducing the risk of any water supply disruption on our production processes.

We have now upgraded this tank to a much more suitable 18,000L vessel.

Our expert team of engineers prepared upgraded pipework and manoeuvred our new larger vessel into place without affecting our production plans.

By holding this large buffer of raw water, we have reduced the risk of any short disruption in the water supply negatively affecting our customers, thereby adding extra insurance to our supply.

We sell large volumes of water in many different grades. Whether you’re looking for ampoules, IBCs or tankers, you can buy water from our online store.
