Promethean Particles is a developer and manufacturer of a class of compounds called metal organic frameworks, or MOFs, which are energy-efficient sorbent nanomaterials with extremely high surface areas. 

This lets them absorb gases like carbon dioxide efficiently, meaning they are gaining attention for their potential in applications such as carbon capture, gas separation, and energy storage.

We spoke to Selina Ambrose, Product Manager at Promethean Particles, who explains how ReAgent has become their trusted partner and is now integral to their chemical supply chain.

Business Objectives

As a relatively small company with growing needs and growing customer demand, Promethean Particles needed to serve its customers with raw materials in a liquid solution. 

On a small scale, they could dissolve powder into liquid at their site. However, when orders reached hundreds of kilograms or more, this approach became impractical.

Recognising the need for a reliable partner who could support them through every stage of growth, Promethean Particles began searching for UK suppliers capable of scaling with them. They needed more than just a one-off delivery. They needed someone who could, as Selina puts it, “deliver reproducibly and consistently.”
