ReAgent’s ‘company timeline’, which is installed next to our main offices, showcases ReAgent’s history from when it was founded in 1977 to the present day.
The idea for showcasing our company history actually came from a trip to a whisky distillery. Our CEO, Rich Hudson, was impressed by how the distillery displayed information about how they got started and how the company progressed over the years, along with historical memorabilia.
At the time, ReAgent was in the process of moving to a larger factory and had uncovered a lot of long-forgotten brochures, documents, and photos. Rich realised that we could use information like this in much the same way the distillery was doing.
And so the idea for a ReAgent timeline was born. Watch this video to see how it was installed, and read on for a more in-depth look at our timeline:
In this post:
Designing the ReAgent timeline
ReAgent’s marketing team was tasked with designing the timeline and selecting which pieces of documentation and which artefacts to use.
Once we’d whittled that down to create a concise story and timeline, the design work began. We also sourced a wall art installation company that could both print and install our designs, as well as build the Perspex boxes needed to house artefacts like the original ReAgent company stamp and branded watches.
Installing the ReAgent timeline
A local company installed our timeline, including individual document holders that contain items like the original letter confirming our very first order from our first customer, ICI, our original factory floor plan, hand-written chemical formulations, brochures from the 1980s, and our first-ever quality certification.

Unveiling the timeline
It was a special day when we unveiled the timeline as a surprise to our current CEO’s grandfather, Derek Millard, who founded ReAgent, and our CEO’s parents, who took over the company from Derek.
