Last year, we began a major factory expansion to strengthen our operational capability and prepare for long-term growth.

Our goal was to create a layout that enhances efficiency, improves workflow, and reinforces our commitment to quality and reliability.

An Inside Look at Our Expansion

We previously shared our factory space with a long-term tenant. When they moved out last May, we saw an opportunity to grow.

This marked phase one of our factory expansion.

Here’s a breakdown of the project:

Upgrading the Power Distribution Board

An incoming power distribution board is the electrical nucleus of a factory. The old unit was far below our standards. It was also attached to an internal wall we needed to remove.

We replaced the old distribution board with a new one that meets our power and safety requirements.

Creating a Flexible Layout

We needed to remove interior walls and the wall separating our warehouse from the new space. This required the use of a hydraulic excavator and a dust screen to minimise debris.

Removing the walls allowed us to visualise the new factory and make comprehensive layout plans.

Giving the Floor and Walls a Makeover

We diamond-ground the floor to remove inconsistencies. Once smoothed, we coated it with a twin-component epoxy system and anti-slip finish.

We then repaired and painted the walls and steelwork. This brightened the space and created a cohesive look that reflects ReAgent’s brand identity.

Relocating Factory Components

We dismantled our pallet racking and relocated it to the new space. This allows for a dedicated storage zone with higher capacity, which is critical for storing bespoke chemical solutions and meeting bulk packaging requirements.

We then moved our goods-in operation and engineering mezzanine to create a smoother workflow.

Looking Forward

This expansion is a huge milestone for ReAgent, and it’s only phase one.

Our factory is now equipped to handle new plant and machinery, additional pallet racking, and extra storage tanks. The expansion also supports other features like temperature-controlled jacketed tanks and a tanker-filling infrastructure.

These operational enhancements allow us to better serve our customers – something that’s always been vital at ReAgent.
