As we wrap up 2024, we’re looking back on a year filled with exciting developments and facility upgrades, significant business milestones, and a commitment to our team, customers, and community.

Here’s a look back at ReAgent’s highlights of the year.

Facility Upgrades

This year, we made substantial investments in our infrastructure to enhance efficiency, safety, and capacity.

These upgrades are designed to support our growing operations while enabling us to better meet our customers’ needs with increased production capabilities, faster turnaround times, and improved safety standards.

January

We increased our chemical blending capacity with a brand new, bespoke 20,000L HDPE mixing vessel designed to fill 20 IBCs, which fit into one shipping container. This made the manufacturing process quicker and more efficient for our customers.

February

This month, we produced a video about our temperature-controlled storage solutions:

We also bought a range of advanced equipment, including a 6,000L jacketed mixing vessel and a reverse osmosis water treatment plant.

May

In May, we commissioned our largest mixing vessel yet—a 22,000L stainless steel unit. We now have four tanks of this size, each with individual properties which lend themselves to blending different sorts of chemicals.

June

June saw an expansion of our car park to accommodate our growing team.

July

In July, we improved our flammable handling systems to include enhanced mixing capabilities, advanced, ATEX-rated ventilation, static prevention measures and spill containment.

We also doubled our pallet racking capacity. This meant we could increase our capacity for storage and absorb more business; ensure health and safety on our site remains first-rate; and implement a new factory layout that has helped us become more efficient in maximising use of space.

August

This summer, we built two new mezzanine areas for engineering and office space. Engineering’s new mezzanine has increased our storage capacity and provides a designated area for engineering work. The office mezzanine has allowed us to extend our office and meeting room space for our growing team.

September

September was dedicated to upgrading all our cleanrooms for enhanced functionality and repurposed extraction systems for safer and more efficient operations. Watch this video to find out more about our upgraded cleanrooms:

December

We have just finished installing a solar farm spanning the entire 60,000-square-foot roof of our factory, comprising approximately 1,500 panels. Designed with local partner KDE, the system generates 630,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually – enough to power over 200 homes – and avoids 300,000 kilograms of CO2 emissions each year.

Our solar farm not only supports our environmentally conscious growth, but also helps our customers reduce their own emissions and meet sustainability goals.

Each of these upgrades represents a huge collaborative effort across our teams, with innovation and safety top of mind.

Business Milestones

This year, we achieved several business milestones with the aim of driving growth and innovation.

In March, we launched a new corporate video showcasing our team, facilities, and partnerships – you can watch it right here:

April marked the introduction of our latest three-year business plan, setting ambitious revenue goals and expansion into new markets.

In August, we updated our mission statement to reflect our global ambitions: “To create chemical solutions that power industries worldwide.”

These milestones demonstrate ReAgent’s commitment to growth and delivering exceptional value and service to our customers and partners.

Employee Wellbeing

2024 saw continued investment in our team, introducing new benefits and support initiatives.

In April, we launched an Employee Assistance Programme, offering access to counselling, mental health support, and other resources. Find out more in this short video:

In May, we became a Living Hours employer, adding to our Living Wage employer status. We also enhanced our parental leave policies.

By October, we had introduced private medical insurance for long-serving team members and conducted health surveillance to safeguard workplace wellbeing.

We also expanded our team with a total of 13 full-time roles across the company, further strengthening our expertise and capacity – that’s just over a 20% increase in the number of colleagues at ReAgent.

Social Highlights

At ReAgent, we believe in celebrating our team and building relationships outside of the workplace. This year, we hosted three company-wide social events, a number of cinema trips, and many departmental socials.

In August, we held our much-anticipated annual camping weekend, welcoming team members along with their families, friends, and even pets. Over 40 of us enjoyed games, pizza deliveries, a BBQ, a visit to a local ice cream farm, and a Sunday lunch at a nearby pub. The event was a resounding success, and plans are already in place to make it even bigger next year.

In November, 18 of our team went clay pigeon shooting. After 50 shots each, our victor emerged with an amazing score of 47/50. It was a great day – and there will be a rematch!

Giving Back

ReAgent embraces opportunities to give back to our community and beyond in meaningful ways.

August

During the summer, we launched a ReAgent Volunteer Day Programme, which empowers our employees to make a difference by supporting different causes. The Volunteer Day Programme allows our team to donate a set number of days each year to three selected charities: Cancer Research UK, Parkinson’s UK, and Halton Haven Hospice.

October

This month, we held a Macmillan Coffee Morning, and team members raised funds for Cancer Research through the 10k Shine Night Walk.

November

November marked our first (of many!) organised company litter pick, where we collected over 30 bags of rubbish. We also hosted a festive Parkinson’s UK coffee morning this month.

We look forward to making an even greater impact in 2025 and beyond…

Looking Ahead

2024 has been a transformative year for ReAgent. From facility upgrades to new business strategies and community initiatives, we’ve laid a strong foundation for future success.

As we enter 2025, we remain focused on innovation, growth, and sustainability.

Thank you to our customers, partners, and team for being part of our journey this year. Here’s to an exciting year ahead!
